DC METRO AREA | County executive, wife arrested by agents in one of nations wealthiest counties

(Reuters) - The top official of Maryland's Prince George's County, a suburb of Washington, D.C., was arrested on Friday by federal officials, the U.S. Attorney's Office for Maryland said.
Attorney's Office spokeswoman Marcy Murphy confirmed the arrests of Jack Johnson and his wife, Leslie, but said she could not give any information on the charges.

"This is still really in flux. I have not seen any charging document so I don't know what the charges are," she said, adding that search warrants were also being executed in the county, one of the nation's wealthiest with a population close to 1 million.
